*Vanja berichtet aus Idomeni:*
„Gestern haben wir eine Lebensmittel-Lieferung von Zafer Ertem, einem Freund den ich in Presevo kennengelernt habe, erhalten. Die Leute von SolidariTEA und Dresden-Balkan-Konvoi kamen mit. Wir unterstützen sie und versuchen es auch weiterhin. Es sind junge Leute, die hier jeden Tag für 10’000 Menschen Suppe und Tee zubereiten. Heute haben wir dank Zafers großzügiger Spende Reis, Kichererbsen, Linsen, Müsli, Babynahrung und Datteln bekommen.
Die Freude hielt nicht lange an… zurück im Camp sah ich 3 Busse. Sie bringen die Flüchtlinge weg. Die Grenze ist also definitiv zu.
Es regnet hier in strömen und ich freue mich, dass die Menschen nicht mehr unter freiem Himmel und in Pfützen schlafen müssen. Sie werden wahrscheinlich in Hotels und Wohnungen untergebracht, bis die EU entschiedet, wer in welches Land kommt. Nicht alle Flüchtlinge können jetzt sofort weg und auch nicht alle werden in den Hotels genug versorgt, also wird borderfree auch in den nächsten 2 Monaten in Idomeni tätig sein. Wie und in welcher Form zeigen die nächsten Tage. Mit Sicherheit kann ich nur sagen: die Menschen und vor allem Babys brauchen weiterhin unsere Unterstützung!“

„Yesterday, we received a food delivery from Zafer Ertem, a friend who I got to know in Presevo. The people from SolidariTEA and Dresden-Balkan-Konvoi came with me. We support them and are trying to do so in the future. They are young people who are providing soups and tea for 10’000 people every day. Today, we got rice, chickpeas, lentils, cereals, baby food and dates thanks to the generous donation from Zafer.
The joy did nt last long… back in the camp we saw 3 busses. They are deporting the refugees. The border is closed definitely.
It rains heavily and I am glad the people do not have to sleep outside and in ponds anymore. They are being brought to hotels and apartments, I assume, until the Eu decided who is being brought to which country. Not all refugees can leave now and not all of them are being supplied sufficiently in the hotels. Therefore, borderfree is going to work in Idomeni also in the next 2 months. In which form, the next days will show. I can only say with certainty: the people and especially the babies need our support also in the future!“
