Vanja berichtet aus Idomeni:
„Gestern wurde nicht gekocht, weil es Demonstrationen gab und alle Essenszelte angehalten wurden, den Betrieb einzustellen, bis sich die Lage beruhigt hat. Wir haben aber Suppe für die Nacht vorbereitet.
Später hat Borderfree-Volunteer Christina Nagel, die schon einige Zeit mit uns in Presevo war, Leute verarztet und Kleider aus dem „Warenhaus“ verteilt.
Um 19:00 waren wir beim Volunteer-meeting, wo wir uns wie alle Organisationen vorgestellt haben und die freien Volontäre auswählen konnten, bei welcher Gruppe sie sich eintragen und mitarbeiten möchten. Das war sehr nützlich, da es zu viele Leute gab, die das gleiche gemacht haben. So haben nun alle den Überblick.
Beim Meeting in unserem Volunteer-Haus verteilten wir die Aufgaben. Das ganze nimmt langsam Form an und es ist super-toll, dass Anna, Anna und Christina da sind! Sie bringen viel Erfahrung und organisatorische Fähigkeiten mit. Wir vermissen aber die Familie Braun – die waren super! Ein ganz grosses Dankeschön an sie!
Es ist sehr stressig hier in Idomeni, sehr sehr anstrengend und mit nichts bisherigem zu vergleichen. Aber wir sind alle sehr froh, da zu sein und helfen zu können.“

Vanja reports from Idomeni:
„Yesterday, we didn’t cook due to demonstrations and the request that all kitchen tents stay closed until the situation has calmed down. But we prepared soup for the night.
Later, our Borderfree-Volunteer Christina Nagel who was with us for quite a long time already in Presevo, gave medical assistance to people and distributed clothes from the „warehouse“. At 7 pm we attended the Volunteer-meeting where we introduced us like all other organizations and the free volunteers could chose where they want to work. It was very useful as there were too many people doint the same thing. Now, everyone has an overview.
At the meeting in our volunteer house we divided the tasks. Slowely, everything becomes concrete and it is wonderful that Anna, Anna and Christina are here! They bring in a lot of experience and a flair for organisation. But we miss the family Braun – they were super! A huge thank you to them!
It is very stressful here in Idomeni, very very demanding and can not be compared with anything before. But we are all happy that we are here and that we are able to help.“
