Preševo heute morgen.
Hunderte von Flüchtlingen warten schon seit Stunden vor der Registrierungsstelle. Einige schon die ganze Nacht. Die kleine Siedlung um die Registration Office ausserhalb der Stadt ist dem Ansturm nicht gewachsen. Sanitäre Anlagen fehlen, Müll liegt herum, es stinkt. Menschen frieren, Kinder weinen.
Die Situation beginnt sich für die gestrandeten Flüchtlinge in Preševo etwas zu bessern: Viele Freiwillige und mittlerweile auch einige der „grossen“ Organisationen sind vor Ort. Hilfe, die dringend benötigt wird – oft sind die Menschen erschöpft, traumatisiert, hungrig und vielfach krank.

Aktuell arbeiten 8 Freiwillige in unserem Namen in Preševo. Wir arbeiten mit Organisationen, lokalem Gewerbe und Regierung zusammen, betreiben einen Infostand, Tee- und Suppenausgabe, kaufen und verteilen Mahlzeiten und Lebensmittel, bauen Zelte und Unterstände, begleiten Familien mit Kleinkindern… es gibt noch so viel zu tun!

Preševo this morning.
hundreds of refugees are already waiting for hours in front of the registration office. Some of them are waiting the whole night. the little settlement around the registration office outside the city has no match for the onslaught. There is a big lack of sanitary facilities, garbage lays around, it stinks. People are freezing, children are crying.
The situation starts to get better for the stranded refugees of Preševo: many volunteers and in the meantime also some of the „big“ NGOs have arrived. Help that is urgently needed – mostly the refugees are exhausted, traumatized, hungry and often sick aswell.
„borderfree association“ is still needed:
actually 8 volunteers are working in our name at Preševo. We work together with organisations, local dealers, and the government, we operate one info-point, tea- and soup distribution, buy meals and Food-Items, build tents and shelters, accompany families with little children… there is still so much work to do!
