500m vom Hauptcamp in Idomeni hat heute unser Borderfree-Schulzelt eröffnet, das von Volunteers und Menschen auf der Flucht betrieben wird. Unter den Flüchtenden befinden sich auch viele Lehrpersonen, die sich über diese Aufgabe freuen.
Kinder und Eltern sind genau so aufgeregt wie wir! Viele der Kinder haben seit Monaten und manchmal sogar Jahren keine Schule mehr besucht, daher ist der Wissensdurst gross. Wir sind glücklich, mit dem Schulzelt etwas Alltagsstruktur zurück in ihr Leben bringen zu können.
Neben den Schulzeiten dient das Zelt als Spielzimmer und auch als Raum, wo psychosoziale Betreuung und Traumabewältigung stattfinden kann. Dabei unterstützen uns die Psychologen von ADRA.

500m from the main Camp in #idomeni, our Borderfree schooltent opened which will be run by volunteers and refugees. There are a lot of teachers among the refugees and they are happy about the new assignment.
Kids and parents are as excited as we are! Many children did not attend a school for months or even years and the thirst for knowledge is huge therefore. We are happy to bring a bit of daily structure with the school tent into the lives of these people.
Beside the school hours the tent serves as a playground and also as a room where psychosocial care and trauma coping can take place. The psychologists from ADRA support us in this task.
